About the Trainer
My name is Van, and I was once like you. I found myself questioning why my pups were so unsocialized, so “bad” that I could barely have my friends or family over. I realized I had to do better: better for my own sanity but also for the overall wellbeing and happiness of my pup. After countless YouTube videos (above), books, and my three years of experience at The Fritz Pet Resort, I found my passion and jumped in full force. I decided I not only wanted to help myself, my family, and my friends, but also my community. In order to achieve this goal, I needed to learn all I could and train professionally. In 2023, I trained under Jerry Bradshaw and other instructors at Tarheel Training Academy. Upon graduation, I was ready to start my own training career.
I am so excited to start this journey with you and your fur baby. Together, you will watch as your relationship and bond grow. I specialize in behavior modification, working and protection dog training, and basic obedience. My mission is not only to train dogs and their owners to better communicate and understand one another, but also to reach out in our community and help dogs in need.
Why I Don’t Teach Stay:
When you have a well-trained dog, every command is a stay command and shall not be broken until your dog is either given permission or a subsequent command.
Training Options
I’m a Big Pup Now!
For puppies 4 months old and younger. We will work with your puppy on potty training, kennel/crate training and socialization.
Monday through Friday $45/day
Training Evaluations
Required for all training programs except “I’m a Big Pup Now!” You and your pup will sit down one-on-one with our trainer to discuss your goals and expectations for training so that we may recommend the best training option for you.
$30 per pup (price will be deducted from selected training program)
Join the Pack
In this 10 week group program, you and your fur baby will make new friends and master new skills.

Dogs Playing Poker
(Join the Pack course or comparable or previous obedience class required.)
This 10 week group course is designed to continue and expand basic training. This will enable you to work through any challenges you and your pup experience out and about while doing things you love and having new experiences together.
Skills include:
- Reading your baby’s behavioral cues
- Traveling safely and with less stress
- Multi-step training
- Polishing Commands
- Using a Variable reward system
$350 per pup
Private Lessons
Work one-on-one with our trainer in the comfort of your own home and around your busy schedule for 10 one-hour sessions. The trainer will equip you with the skills, tips, and tricks to teach your fur baby basic commands including:
- Sit
- Come
- Place
- Heel
- Lay Down
- Leave it
- Basic Boundaries
- How to properly us training tools
10 Lessons $1200
Boarding School
Are you struggling to find the time for at-home training? This program is perfect for you! Your fur baby will be dropped off at The Fritz Preparatory School to learn basic obedience during either a 3 or 6 week program. Throughout his or her stay, your fur baby will be learning the skills he or she needs to be an obedient and well-mannered member of the family. Upon graduation, our trainer will sit down with you, explain all of your pup’s progress, and then offer guidance on how to maintain all your baby’s new skills going forward. Training implements are included and the curriculum includes:
